Strategic Performance Management Certificate

The Strategic Performance Management Certificate Course is an eight week, non-credit professional training course designed for individuals in public and non-profit organizations (both leading executives and frontline employees), and citizens interested in the functions of public sector performance management and measurement.
Students will cover four core topics when enrolled in the course. Additionally, students receive free access to three optional supplemental units that can be completed at any time.
Students are required to complete various assignments, participate in weekly discussion board topics, and complete a final assessment designed as an applied evaluation of learning outcomes.
About the Instructor
STUART S. GRIFEL, MBA, MPA
Stuart Grifel is the Consulting Director for Public Sector Performance Associates, a Florida based certified women-owned business and small business enterprise with a focus on small to mid-size local governments. The company’s key focus areas include operational improvement, performance measurement, performance auditing, and risk and control.
Stuart has 30 years of experience in conducting and leading operational and organizational reviews, performance and compliance audits and productivity improvement projects. He has assisted numerous governments in operational improvement and performance measurement while at KPMG Consulting, the National Center for Public Performance at Rutgers University, the Innovations Group, the States of Florida and New Jersey, City of Tampa and Polk County, Florida.
Stuart has served as a Management Consultant with the City of Miami Beach Office of Budget and Performance Improvement where he was responsible for conducting operational reviews of City operations and served as the manager of the City’s Manager for Performance Measurement and Performance Management in the Office of Budget and Performance Improvement Stuart has also served as the Board Internal Auditor for the Manatee County, Florida School District, Audit Supervisor for the Broward County, Florida and the Austin Texas City Auditor’s Office, and Senior Auditor in the Internal Audit Division of the Palm Beach County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office.
Stuart has presented numerous performance measurement/performance management and productivity related training programs for professional associations and for local, state, and federal government and private sector managers and staff. He is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Government Auditing Professional and Certified Inspector General Auditor. Stuart holds an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, and an MPA from Baruch College, City University of New York.

$1,250 per student
• $1,100 for government/non-profit employees
• Register 3 or more students from the same organization and receive a 20% discount for the group.
• All students, upon registration, receive unlimited access to all 3 supplemental units
