Who Should Participate?

Current and aspiring leaders and managers in the public sector, especially those in local government, who are looking to start their analytics journey for themselves and/or their organization.

Certificate Logistics

​The certificate will be a Zoom course for two hours of the week, over the six week training period. The end product for the course will be an action plan to implement analytics in an organization based upon course materials. Optional resources and reading materials will be provided before each course to supplement the class discussion.

About the Instructor:

The certificate will be taught by a public sector leader with years of experience in the field.

​Greg Useem has over 15 years of expertise and experience leading local government organizations and teams in analytics, performance measurement, and budgeting. Since 2012, he has been the Director of the Office of Performance Analytics, and the Chief Performance Officer for the City of Alexandria, Virginia. Greg is also the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Mid-Atlantic Statnet, a consortium of governments working to further the state of data-driven government. Greg Useem earned his Bachelor's degree from Lynchburg College and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
